The Penn State Alumni Association

What’s been happening:

Since graduating from Penn State, I have earned my Master's Degree in speech/language pathology and have worked in various settings including early intervention, preschool, school age, geriatric and head trauma, and approved private schools. I have continued to enjoy my work with children and have focused my attention on students with autism and students with dysphagia in the schools. I have supervised the school age speech and language program at the BCIU #22 and currently am supervising our autistic support program, bringing my speech and language skills to the 20 classrooms that I supervise. I married a Penn State Graduate, Rich Hengst, and we have two wonderful boys. I love coming back to Penn State and walking around the campus each year for the annual Autism Conference. I see wonderful additions but also experience great memories each time I am there.
